AI Readiness Sprint

$8,500 fixed fee, one to two weeks. You get a workflow and data-security assessment, a vendor-neutral platform decision, a prioritized use-case map, and a 90-day roadmap. Firms of 61 to 150 people: $12,500. (Want the AI policy and supervision framework itself? That is the separate AI Governance engagement.)

Most firms do not need a six-figure strategy engagement to start with AI. They need three decisions made well: which platform, which workflows first, and in what order. The Sprint makes those decisions in two weeks.

It is deliberately small. The point is not to study your firm for a quarter. The point is to hand your partners a one-page answer to "where do we start with AI" that survives an IC discussion. The governance side, the policy and supervision rules, is its own engagement so you can take it separately or skip it.

Want the full pre-engagement deep dive before training or a build? The Comprehensive Discovery Sprint ($30,000) bundles this assessment with the full governance framework and a hands-on pilot on your own workflows, and credits toward the engagement that follows.

What's Included

Five Deliverables in Two Weeks

Everything is written to be shown to someone: your partners, your IT lead, or an allocator's operational due diligence team. No vague strategy decks.

Firms up to 60 people: $8,500, with up to 5 stakeholder interviews. Firms of 61 to 150: $12,500, with up to 8 interviews. Over 150 people, the assessment scope changes enough that we price it by proposal.

Sprint fees credit in full toward any engagement of $25,000+ booked within 90 days.

Workflow & Data-Security Assessment

Stakeholder interviews across deal team, IR, and operations, plus a review of where your data lives and what can safely touch an AI platform.

Vendor-Neutral Platform Decision Memo

Microsoft 365 Copilot vs. ChatGPT Enterprise vs. Claude vs. Gemini, scored against your workflows, security posture, and budget. A recommendation your IT lead and your partners can both sign.

Prioritized Use-Case Map

Every credible AI opportunity in your firm, scored on effort and impact, with the first three flagged.

90-Day Roadmap

Who does what, in what order, with what budget. Quick wins flagged for the first month.

Partner Readout Call

Findings, recommendation, and roadmap presented to the partner group, with the decision framework applied live.

How It Works

Four Steps in 1-2 Weeks

01
Days 1-2

Scope

Kickoff call, document request, and the interview schedule. We define which workflows and data sources are in scope.

02
Days 3-6

Assess

Stakeholder interviews and the data-security review. We map where time goes, where data lives, and where the friction will be.

03
Days 7-9

Decide

Platform decision memo, use-case map, and 90-day roadmap, written and internally pressure-tested.

04
Days 10-12

Readout

Partner readout: findings, recommendation, roadmap, and what to do in the next 30 days. Questions answered in the room.

Who It's For

Run the Sprint If...

Your firm has no AI platform decision, or three tools nobody officially approved.

You are choosing between Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini and want a recommendation your IT lead and partners both sign.

Partners disagree about where AI fits and the debate needs data, not opinions.

You want a concrete plan before committing to a platform rollout or a training program.

Deal data security is the blocker: nobody is sure what can safely touch which tool.

You were quoted six figures for an "AI strategy" and suspect the useful part is two weeks of work.

Key Finding

In a 2023 study with 758 BCG consultants, professionals using AI completed tasks 25.1% faster with over 40% higher quality. The gains exist. The Sprint tells you where they are hiding in your firm, and what has to be true before your team captures them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sprint FAQ

How long does the Sprint take?

One to two weeks from kickoff to partner readout. Your team's time commitment is the interviews (45 minutes each) and the readout. We work around your calendar.

What does it cost for a firm our size?

$8,500 fixed for firms up to 60 people. $12,500 for 61 to 150, which adds interviews and a larger security review. Over 150 people, by proposal. Those are the only numbers; there is no rate card behind them.

Does the fee credit toward later work?

Yes. Intensive and Sprint fees credit in full toward any engagement of $25,000+ booked within 90 days. In practice most Sprints roll into a Firm AI Rollout or the training programs.

Is the platform recommendation really neutral?

Yes. The memo compares Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, and Gemini against your specific workflows and security requirements. We implement on whichever platform the analysis supports, so we have no reason to tilt it.

What happened to the $30K Discovery Sprint?

We split it. The build-scoping work now lives inside Custom Build engagements, where it belonged. What firms actually needed first, a readiness picture, a platform decision, and a roadmap, is this Sprint at $8,500.

Do I also need AI Governance?

Often, but not always, and it is now a separate engagement. The AI policy, supervision approach, vendor framework, and LP DDQ answers are AI Governance ($9,500). Some firms want only the readiness assessment, some only the governance, so you can take either on its own, or both.
